Public-record guide · identity and research evidence
Authorship, affiliation, authority
Three claims that can appear beside the same name but require different evidence and different time boundaries.
Status: Primary-source identity guide · Current public-record snapshot · No new empirical result · No current-employment claim · No advisory claim · No clinical-authority claim · No citation-count claim
What current public search can establish
Sampled English and Hebrew name searches on 30 August 2026 surfaced the verified LinkedIn and ResearchGate profiles, PubMed and PubMed Central research records, Preprints.org records, and a National Library catalogue record. The same sample did not surface a confident primary result for the Russian name variant or a result from the canonical public-site query. Third-party profile aggregators also appeared, but they were not used to establish employment, affiliation, contact, or impact claims.
Search visibility is discovery evidence, not identity proof by itself. A result becomes usable here only when its name, work title, persistent identifier, date, source type, and status align with the canonical entity record.
Three claims, three evidence tests
| Claim | What a primary record supports | Required time boundary | What must not be inferred |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authorship | A publisher or registry record names Emanuel Shirbint among the authors of a specific work. | The named work and its exact DOI, version, or PMID. | Authorship alone does not establish current employment, sole responsibility for every contribution, or authority to act for an institution. |
| Affiliation | A publication record associates an author with an institution for that record. | The publication's research period and deposited metadata; it is not automatically current. | A historical publication affiliation must not be rewritten as a present employer, advisory engagement, or institutional mandate. |
| Authority | A separate governance, employment, clinical, or organizational source may define who can decide or act. | The scope and validity period of that authorization. | Publication, seniority in an author list, citation, or search ranking does not grant clinical, corporate, regulatory, or advisory authority. |
How the rule applies across the public research record
Finger-dexterity biosensing
PubMed PMID 40046843 identifies Emanuel Shirbint as the fourth of six authors of a 2025 Digital Health article and exposes publication affiliations. That supports authorship and record-specific affiliation. It does not, by itself, establish a present employer, a clinical role, or sole ownership of the study.
TotalSpineSeg
The ISMRM 2025 conference DOI and the public preprint DOI document related research outputs. They remain conference and preprint records, not a journal peer-review record. Their author lists do not create current institutional or clinical authority.
Bounded recursive self-improvement
The publisher record names Emanuel Shirbint as sole author and marks Version 2 as the latest version and not peer-reviewed. Sole authorship supports responsibility for that public manuscript; it does not turn a bounded local scaffolding-level experiment into production validation or grant autonomous promotion authority to the system studied.
Author order is not a universal contribution code
Author position is bibliographic metadata. Its meaning varies by discipline and work. A fourth-author or sixth-author position must not be translated into a percentage of contribution, a job title, or a hierarchy of authority without an explicit contribution statement from the work. Conversely, sole authorship establishes responsibility for the manuscript but does not change its publication status: a sole-authored preprint remains a non-peer-reviewed preprint.
A safe identity-reconciliation rule
- Match the canonical English name and preserve the Hebrew and Russian variants as alternate names, not separate people.
- Bind each authorship claim to an exact title and persistent record such as a DOI or PMID.
- Preserve the record's status: peer-reviewed journal article, conference work, preprint, conceptual research, or empirical preprint.
- Treat deposited affiliations as record-specific unless a separate current professional source verifies continuation.
- Require separate evidence for employment, advisory work, clinical authority, production operation, and institutional representation.
- Do not convert platform reads, search ranking, or unreconciled citation numbers into stable impact claims.
Claim boundaries across the public profile
This guide reports no new scientific finding and changes no publication classification. The canonical catalogue remains a deduplicated set in which peer-reviewed journal work, conference work, preprints, conceptual research, and the Version 2 bounded local experiment retain their existing labels. The locally evidenced EWCC production system is not validated by publication metadata. Employment and advisory work require their own governed sources. No clinical use, treatment authority, regulatory status, institutional representation, current-employment relationship, advisory engagement, or citation count is inferred here.

Evidence checked 30 August 2026 (Asia/Jerusalem). Current publisher and PubMed/PMC pages exposed no new canonical work or DOI version beyond the prior reconciled catalogue. Registry citation counts remain excluded because database coverage, version deduplication, and counting rules are not normalized into the public claim ledger.
